Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to define and classify the causes of acute renal failure. They will also be able to recognize and workup a patient with acute renal failure. Participants will acquire fundamental knowledge of renal physiology and pathology to build a foundational understanding of appropriate management for the various causes of acute renal failure. They will also learn to identify the urgency of the patient’s clinical circumstances and need for treatment to prevent or minimize complications.
