Objectives

In this module, we will discuss an approach to a suicidal patient. You will learn the things which contribute to mental wellness and how when these things are out of balance, a person might consider ending their lives. The proper methods of history taking as well as important questions to ask in the history will be discussed in this module. Formal risk assessment is discussed in depth and classification of patients into risk levels is outlined. Finally, you will learn how to create a management plan based on the assessed risk level
